Hi, my wifes 2.0 HDi Sport threw up an ABS light on Sunday. Drove for about 15 mins and had to stop (nothing to do with light). Sterted up and light went out. It has just done it again twice. if you switch off and restart it stays off for about 20mins. I know the F-N-S ABS pick up ring is split but it is rusted on the CV joint and as far as I can tell has not moved. Could it be a dodgy sensor? If so how can I check which one. Or any other suggestions (clean and not abusive please Laughing )

Steve.

if youve got cracks in your abs rings it wont be long before they break off, chances are they will smash the end of the abs sensors off too. Dont bother getting new rings they are far more hassle than they are worth just get a new cv joint available at most most factors for the grand sum of £26 and you get a shiny new boot to go with it
