Hi all,

I have a 52 plate 206 l.x. which had developed an electric fault. When i turn on the ignition my hazards come on, my doors lock themselves (sometimes lock and unlock over and over again) and the needles on the dashboard jump around for a few seconds and then settle. The lights on my dashboard dim slightly too. When i turn ignition off the doors lock/unlock and hazards turn on. I used to be able to avoid this happening by pressing the lock button twice (deadlocking?) However this no longer prevents this happening. Could this be a battery issue? Any help would be appreciated as it will be a few weeks before i can get it to a garage.
Cheers, Cal.

I would be inclined to check for water ingress into multiplugs on the doors incase you have a short. It does sound like a earth issue corroded or broken
