Hello I need some help diagnosing/fixing an issue with my 206 and would be massively grateful for a solution

Basically, there is no power going to the stereo at all. I have checked and there is definitely power going to each part of the cables but when I plug them into the stereo I get nothing.

- Peugeot 206 1.6l 1999 reg
- All fuses are in tact
- There is an old CD changer in the back that seems to have a slight bit of power going to it from the sounds of it but wont play music (has a different connection the one in the front)

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? If so, how do i fix this/who do i take it to in order to fix?

If you've got power AND ground in the right spots in the connector then there really would be no cause for a functional radio to not work - except possibly a high impedance connection somewhere causing the voltage to drop when the radio starts pulling current (a voltmeter draws an extremely small amount, not enough for the voltage to drop).

Try wiring in say a 21W bulb to the harness power / ground instead of the radio, see if it lights up and then double check the voltage over it when lit.

Multiple radios not working does make one suspect the car wiring...

One would have to follow the wire 'upstream' and check all connections etc until (hopefully) you come to a point where you have proper voltage 'above' the connection.

The fault might actually also be in the ground wire and its connection. With the bulb lit, try measuring voltage between its negative side and a known good ground (like a bolt directly connected to the chassis). There should be no to very small voltage between these points. This side is easier to fix, start by checking where the existing wire connects to ground, make sure it's clean and secure. If it looks OK but still gives a drop, run a new wire from the HU plug to another ground point, abandoning the existing wire.

Upstream side you can also measure the voltage between the fuse in the fusebox and the positive feed to the bulb, should be only a quite small voltage there, if bigger then look at all connections inbetween. But Looking at the diagrams there should be a straight shot from fusebox to Hu connector... Haven't seen it happen with blade style fuses, but might be worth measuring the voltage across the actual fuse too. Glass tube style fuses can get poor solder connection between the actual fuse element and the end cap, making the measure OK on a meter, but present a resistance when you pull current through it... haven't heard of/seen it on blade style fuses, but worth checking.
