Hi, had a 2004 206 Fever 1.1 Petrol for 5 years with no problem, now the girlfriend has it and it has just started idling roughly, wanting to stall etc etc, think its the EGR valve?

Took the engine apart last night searching for the thing and can't find it anywhere, took airbox out, throttle body, manifold, injectors...??? Nothing underneath as far as I can see. Does this car even have one?

Driving me nuts right now, no information online that I can find, only guides to the HDI models !

Any help would be appreciated

Hello and welcome to 206info.co.uk !

1.1 hasn't got an EGR, it only has pollution control air intake valve near airbox, that's all servicebox gives for the gas recycling part:

Have you inspected ICV (idle control valve), there are several method you should combine to clean it, rummage around forum for instructions.

2.0 HDi, year 2000 (E's restin')
Red GTi 180, year 2004 (VorTechS' sEXy Beast (being) remasteRed)
Blue GTi 180, year 2004 (in hibernation after endless driving fun in 2019, queued for "cambelt in tight spaces")
Missus' 1.6 16v CC, year 2007 (L-plates to P-plates to NO-plates, but now she wants powwer:))
£50 1.4 HDi, year 2002 (seatless transporter, SORNed, rust needs patching)
EV
Jag S(crapped)- & X-Type
GTC VXR (sold)

It was a blown head gasket. £500 and thought I'd get the cambelt and waterpump done as well for another £100. Thanks anyway. f*****g thing!
