Does anybody know how I can find out if my car is a 434Mhz without buying a new key again? Or is their anything else that could be stopping me from programming the remote central locking?
thanks |
Haven't had to mess with it myself, but from I've read here on the forum: You need the same model/version of the circuit board that the original key has/had. And there has apparently been 4 variants used by Peugeot, see Macca's post in the linked thread. |
Thanks,
will have a read up on this, much appreciated by the look of things ill probably need to go the dealer :/ - will see what happens
Thanks again pal

Hello, The main thing is that there are basically parts to a key The Shaft that has to be cut to shape and the Transponder for the immobilizer. The Transponder will have a code. If you have a Non remote key the Transponder may be a different shape but hold the Transponder code you need, But if it the correct shape that can be moved to a Remote Key Fob and work straight away. The Remote is the 3rd part and works independently of the other and has a PCB and that has it's own code and has to be with the car to it
