Hi I have Peugeout 206 Petrol 1.4 2005 105 000 miles. While I was driving the car the engine light came on and the car start shaking and loosing power. When I brought it to the garage it was saying that the car is misfiring. The mechanic has replaced the coil pack. It seems that this solved the problem. A week later the light with the same symptoms suddenly appeared while I was driving the car. I went to the garage and it turns to be the coil pack again. They ordered the new one for me but once replaced the car did not switch on. So what they did they've put back the old one and the car start again. Driving it for another 80 miles the car start giving me the same problems. Do you have an idea what might cause the problem?
PS: From the garage thought that the issue might me with the injectors. Is that possible? Also I was thinking the lambda sensor should not be causing this misfiring right?
Could be something trivial like the wiring going to the coil pack, and the replacing action temporarily got an intermittent connection back together. One of many possibilities...
Codes might narrow it down. A reader would also tell you what the lambda probes are saying.
