Our CC has standard steel wheels with 195/45 R15 tyres, and I've been offered a set of 16" alloys with 205/55 tyres ( from a Citroen ).
Both car's use 4x108 with a centre bore of 65.1, but the CC has an offset of 20-25 whilst the others are 25-30.
Basically, will these alloys fit the CC? And are the tyres usable in the meantime? I appreciate the car should have 205/45 tyres on 16".
Thanks very much.

Never seen offset listed as a range for an actual rim, just as single number. The actual offsets should be molded/stamped into the back of the rims, somewhere.
If one set were 20 and the other 30, the '30'-set would sit 10 mm further 'in', closer to suspension parts.
If both were 25mm it would be no difference.
You don't state the width of the rims, I'd imagine the alloys might be 1/2 to 1" wider, which would add 1/4" to 1/2" to how much further 'in' they'd go...
