Hi guys, struggling to lower rear torsion as all tight and rusted and can find an Allen key to fit the bolts. Have used wd40 but nothing. If anyone is in Lincolnshire I am willing to pay. I'm in scopwick. Thanks. Also any help on forums would be helpful Smile

They are torx bolts! You need something like Plusgas not wd40. Taking the axle off the car can make things easier.

+1

Grab yourself some 1/2" Torx sockets if you don't already have some and a very long breaker bar. Be firm but don't put in so much effort to ruin the bolts - you'll regret it trust me. I'm not a huge fan of dropping the axle but it can be a huge help if all else fails IMO.

Would be a good idea to buy some new bolts and washers before you start the job. I rounded off my bolts and mine were put in with plenty of copper grease on them. I got a chisel in the end to cut into the bolt to turn it.

If you get as far as trying to remove the bars after the washers are removed put the bolts back in and hit them rather than the ends of the bars otherwise you'll ruin them. Better to ruin the bolts instead!

+1 on new bolts before you remove them I rounded mine off on first attempt

I cut a round wooden pole down to about 30cm and hit that with a hammer into the torsion bar

Try the Peugeot dealer. Don't forget the washers too.
