How the hell are you supposed to check the coolant on a 2.0 206 with a thick non see through container? Seems to be only peugeot and Citroën that do this

If you open the top of the expansion tank you'll see the level. It should be about half way up. Looking down into the container there's a plastic cross that raises up from the bottom which should be the same level as the coolant. If you can't see the level through the side of the container it may be in need of a change as it turns into a rusty colour the same as the container.
