Hi

I have a 2006 206 1.4 8v kfw engine. Just had new timing belt kit fitted by local garage and new throttle body, peddling, lambda sensor and water pump changed still when I put my foot down the car only revs to 4500 rpm and fluctuates. If I increase my rpm gently the car reaches 6000 rpm, can't find why this is any ideas please?

Should be electric fly by wire throttle set up.

You cant just fit a new one & expect it to work, needs setting up.

Fly by wire (electric throttle body) where a sensor on the pedal sends the signal on the position of the pedal to the ECU which then in turn sends the signal to the throttle body to tell it how far to open the butterfly, as well as how much fuel to deliver via the injectors as opposed to a physical cable running between the pedal and throttle body which opens the butterfly in direct relation to how much the pedal is pressed.

Following this with interest, as I was at one time contemplating fitting a larger FBW throttle body from the EW10a to my own car.

Why is the the case?

Cooling fan needs to be in working order to.

Follow the on screen instructions & I would recommend a fully charged laptop battery & / or a car charger.

You can have a look at the forum Planet map for members who have it:

www.206info.co.uk/Foru...55053.html

Or if you want to invest for yourself, Peugeot Planet / Diagbox software is easily / freely available all over the internet Wink

You then need the Lexia interface & leads - this is where the cost comes in, everyones favorite online auction site.

You also need a laptop running a 32 bit version of Windows.

If your laptop runs 64 bit Windows you will need to run a virtual machine 32 bit version of Windows & install Planet or Diagbox in to that.

Planet / Diagbox wont run on 64 bit versions of Windows.

Hi I have changed every sensor on this bloody car still not getting full power. I was told that it could be head gasket letting air in and that why, could this be true and how much does it cost to have a head gasket done
