Hello

New to all this and have no idea what I'm doing so if I am in the wrong place just let me know where I need to go please Laughing

I have got to replace the power steering high pressure pipe on my 1.4 206 2004 diesel car but guess what they are no longer made.

This is making it very hard for a women who has 1 not much luck with cars and 2 knows nothing about them very hard.

I was wondering if any one could tell me can I use the pipes from a 1.4 206 model from say a 2005 model did they change them or not? and does it have to come from a diesel model or can it come from a petrol model

any advice right now would go a long way with me please and thankyou xx

I would say they are still available. Any decent garage should be able to source them for you, failing that I would try Peugeot, but expect to pay extra!

You can make a hose quite easily. The fitting jnto the pump is a standard size and you just need a hose making by a hydraulic company for about £15. That can then fit onto one of the metal parts of the original pas pipes.

Your local Pirtek centre should be able to help you out by making up a replacement pipe.

You would need to take the old pipe of & to them so they can use it as a pattern.

My local hydraulics shop was less that half the price of Pirtek...
