Hi all i took the egr valve off the wife's 206 1.4 hdi 05 reg to give it a clean now every other week shes getting the eml on 2 fault codes come up p1160 and p1351
could anyone pont me in the right direction to try and sort the problem out?

How did you clean it? They generally don't like being cleansed! Might be time to replace.

Think it was egr cleaner from eurocar was going to change the egr valve anyway as she has lots of soot/ black smoke coming out the exhaust and I mean a lot lol
So you think the egr valve could cause them fault codes?

Yer believe one is intake malfunction or something like that and the other one is something to do with glow plugs that's all I can find. I'm only asking as they only come up after egr was fiddled with.

Glow pump relay is on back of battery box .. you didn't disturb the wiring to it?

Don't think so but I'll take a look. After deleting the codes it could take 2 weeks for the eml to come back on with the same 2 codes
