Hi
I have 206 1.4 HDI 2003.
I'm having this problem for a wile 6-8 months.
At first the engine wont started and after and after removing the clip from the battery and waiting for 30s and putting back on - it will start with no problem.
that was once in a week or few weeks.
But in the past 3 months the engine cuts out also while driving, and the procedure withe the battery would work.
But some times after driving it and park it for more than 30min even the battery procedure wont help. Maybe after couple of hours or the next morning it starts with no problem.
In the service center the computers shows NO errors. It shown some errors with the airbag - that was assuming that was cosign the problem "airbag activated and shutting down the engine" - error was fixed but not the problem.
Also new fuel pump was replaced as test but after 10min drive engine cut off and wont start.
The computer wont show any errors and problem cant be found fixed.
Any ideas ???
What should be checked replaced?

It is quite likely to be the crankshaft sensor ..
It depends a lot on what code reader you are trying .. a 2003 Pug diesel doesn't have standard OBD software so you need PP2000 or a Peugeot/Citroen specific code reader like Sealey do ... although our 2002 diesel did show up on a Snap-On system once.
I wouldn't be surprised if you have a fault code but you reader can't get to it!
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
