Help needed please.. my wife last used her 206cc on Sunday 28th May and all was fine, we went on holiday on 29th May and when she went to use her car again on Mon 5th June it would turn over but not fire up and a message came on on the display saying "Engine Imobilizer Fault".Any ides of how to clear the fault so the car will start?. No work has been carried out on the keys has it?

New no batteries or keyfob cases been fitted?

If the answer to the above is NO then I would suspect the car battery voltage is low, low battery voltage upsets the cars CAN VAN electrical systems.

No problems with fobs and the car battery had a good charge in it when she tried to start the car

Well try to power cable the car using another car,if the problem gone,that is good,if not,then you are going to check the car immobilizer status,if it's matched with the ECU or not,if it's not,then you need to recode it using a PP2000,other wise it's not going to work.

Wiring loom has been checked as has the key code.. ecu is being looked at on Monday. I know nothing about cars so a being looked at by auto electrician.
