I feel like an idiot, but I cannot take it off, I am trying to change my gaiter on my gti but have stumbled at the 1st hurdle.
can anyone help?

Take the gator off first. Pull the leather up from the side nearest the heating controls.

i heard it was turn 90 degrees to the left and give it a good yank!!! but yer a good twist to the left before u pull it always helps :)!

I hacked it off with a saw lmao. I wasnt strong enough to pull it off, had I have known the muscle content of the forum, I would have requested help lol!
