I'm trying to find out what a pre-plexed BSi runs on a 206 GTi. I know it's needed for starting etc, but what signals go through it?

I have a known EW10J4 complete (inc. BSi/Keys/Transponder etc) and am looking at chucking it another Peugeot that doesn't have BSi.

Any wiring diagrams would be extremely useful!

You could send the engine ecu away & have the immobiliser removed then you could bin the BSI transponder etc.

What Peugeot are you thinking of fitting it to?

I'm going to go with the safe bet of a 205

Should be easy enough to get it running with a couple of suitable wiring diagrams & a BIG cup of tea.

Indeed, could always go all out and run it on aftermarket management. I'd imagine the hardest part would be getting the engine mounts adjusted for the right angle for the EW lump compared to the XU.

Not a 205. That will be getting an alloy Mi16 screamer or tinkered EW10J4RS.

It's a 306, only an idea though.

Not really, that's the easy bit. The EWs were fitted to late Xsaras, and Xsaras are the same as 306s underneath. So a top mount and rear mount off Ebay for the total cost of £20.

Why not source a complete loom from an EW Xsara as well then? Throw the whole lot in.

Its mainly the gearbox sets the 15* engine tilt for the EW/DW motors in the 206 opposed to the 30* that the XU block takes.

Recently found this out on my 309.

I've read your thread on your 206 over at 306oc. Interesting that you say the early BSi is only for immobiliser and drivers airbag?

Think I'm going to see what the loom connects to and go from there. Diagrams are few and far between! Unfortunately the late Xsaras with this engine are MUX so looms 'may' be useless but I might only need the front harness behind the dash.

More delving to do....
