Hi,
I have an annoying fault that has recently started with my GTI HDI.
Basically I am driving along and the dash dials flash and speedo etc stop working for a few seconds, along with the radio, then it starts working again. After this the passenger air bag warning light comes on along with the anti pollution fault message.
The fault code I get is U0028 which from googling I understand to be with the VAN network.
Has anyone ever experienced this or something similar and does anyone have any pointers for what to look for?
Cheers!

Known problem - The small metal terminal pins inside the connector plugs loose contact - carefully squeeze the terminal pins together.
BSI unit - Black 10 way connector terminal 8 wire 9004 & terminal 10 wire 9005
Instrument cluster - Blue 18 way connector terminal 4 wire 9004 & terminal 2 wire 9005.

Thanks again for the advice. I checked the connections into the BSI a couple of weeks ago and not had the issue since so looks like it's solved it!
