How is it done?

Can I just take away the compressor and leave the pipes there? r does the lot got to go?

Does it matter if I cut through one of the pipes and leave the other half there?

etc. Smile

You can replace it for an non-aircon aux belt. You've gotta take the lot out (engine bay) and have the air con discharged correct before you start any work.

But isnt the bit the belt goes on to the compressor??

If your going to do remove the lot other wise there is no point.

There is when I have to find a way to get the intercooler pipes through it. Smile

I may have to negotiate around it somehow as there is no way I can afford a new fan belt and have that fitted etc. as well as the rest of the thing done.

yep aslong as you have it de-gassed by an approved aircon garage its illegal to just let the gas into the atmosphere

thats only the drier and wont affect the compressor/belt at all (apart from the fact the aircon wont work obv Smile )

personally id try another route and keep the aircon i couldnt drive a car without aircon it would do my head in
