The wiring loom for the cooling fan is a known weak spot on the 206 & rots out.
Which engine is fitted as the 206 CC has been available with several different petrol & diesel engine options.
Fingers crossed it's not the 1.6 Diesel engine.

I bought my 2.0 cc just before Christmas and had trouble with a high and unstable idle. Looking at various threads on here suggested the sparkplugs as the cause as the coilpack is known to dislike ngk sparkplugs. This is a problem as ngk have a reputation for being high quality so many people fit them. I bought some Bosch quadspark and sure enough when fitting them found ngk plugs had been fitted. Had no problems since then.

NGK spark plugs are high quality - it's just the phase detection system that detects misfires can get upset when NGKs are fitted.

It has NGK spark plugs in now, so maybe change them back to Bosch ones?
Would these issues occur when it’s cold or hot or both as at present it’s only cutting out when it’s hot!! Very bizarre
Am completely puzzled

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that ngk weren't high quality, rather that because they ARE high quality people fit them unaware of the issues they can cause. I don't know if it will solve your problem Annie, but for a tenner I reckon it's worth a shot.

We lost power when the car was warm .. but it was intermittent. Always started first time.
I swapped out the coil pack (not sure of make) and plugs for Bosch Super-4s .. as I don't think the had even been changed (they had Peugeot logos!). After that, no problems .. well not with losing power .. plenty of other "fun" things with a 206!

I have had the code read today again for the 6th time and it has come up with throttle position sensor so I am replacing the whole throttle housing and sensor at a very tidy sum of money. It has now shown up anti pollution fault and for the first time ever the engine management light has come on

Gazza82 this sounds very much like what my stupid 206 is doing it’s only when the car gets warm it starts losing power. I am most definitely gonna replace plugs just need to know what’s the best coil pack to use should I go to peugeot?

Start with the plugs, dont worry about the coil pack yet!

Let us know how you get on. I agree with Gazza that it could also be a coil pack problem, but the NGK plugs could be presenting the same issues. As the plugs are cheaper, I suggested starting there as it removes the potential for other problems down the road. Fingers crossed the plugs fix the initial problem you came here with anyway!

I think all the coil packs would be OK with Bosch plugs as the issue is when you combine one brand with NGK.
Change the plugs, see if it improves then worry about the coil pack.
HINT: if you have an issue on a car only change ONE thing at a time ..
1) if you go out and swap a lot of parts at once you won't know what fixed it
2) you have probably brought parts you didn't need
