Hello, my 2003 206 1.4hdi SW, broke down on holiday and after a 22hour recovery from Devon, the car is back home. The day before it kangarooed a couple of times and the next day the engine just died. The RAC came out and found two error codes, one was about the clutch pedal switch DTC: P0704,Clutch Switch Input Circuit Malfunction and the other was that the crankshaft Position sensor was reporting a fault DTC: P0337,Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input. Can anybody tell me where on the engine the Crankshaft Position Sensor is so I can check the contacts on it and the plug and if not replace the sensor. Ideally a picture if possible.

Many thanks

D

After jacking up the car and removing the driver's front wheel and the wheel arch plastic it was very easy to get to. Cleaned all round the plug area with degreaser, un plugged it and clean both the plug and sensor socket with electrical cleaner and now the car starts and runs fine again. here are two pictures showing it incase it helps anybody else.
