So every now and then the speedo drops down to zero whilst driving thus killing the odometer and trip setting on the MFD. Every now and then I get an airbag fault at the same time. This is starting to get annoying now so I plugged the Diagnostic kit into it and sure enough it says there is a fault with the speed sensor, airbag showed faults as well which again is the speed information.

Now I have a 2003 2.0 HDI. I am looking for the location of the speed sensor. I have read in the Haynes manual the ECU gets its speed from one of two ways, either via the ABS or via the speed sensor on the gearbox. I don't have ABS and I cant for the life of me find the sensor on the gearbox. Found the reversing sensor just not the speed. Anyone got a photo of exactly where the sensor is?

Speed sensor is on the top of the diff housing where the longer driveshaft goes into the diff.
