Hello,
I have got a 2006 Peugoet Verve 1.4i Petrol. I tried to start it today, but didn't fire up. We got the RAC out and he told us that there was no power going to the COIL PACK 4 WIRE PLUG IN and he also checked the fuses in the engine compartment box and said they were all ok. After spending 40 minutes there with us. He couldn't help us, but he did say that he wasn't certain whether there was a relay between the fuse box and the coil pack plug.
Has anybody got any views/experience with this please.

So no power coming from the wiring? Or the coil packs dead, which is a common problem.

Hello Steve,
Thank you for your reponse, but I know the Coil Pack is good, but there is definitely no power getting to the plug that plugs into the coil pack. So not sure whether there is power coming from the fuse box or the fuse box itself is faulty.

First thing - has the key been apart at all as the small black immobiliser chip which is separate from the circuit board is easily lost if the key has been apart.
The immobiliser on the 206 doesn't stop the engine turning over, it locks the engine ECU software from powering up & allowing the engine to run.
Need to know if its an 8 valve or a 16 valve engine first.
1.4 could be either on this year.
Any fault codes stored?
Non start can store spurious fault codes as the ECU is expecting to see the engine start & if it doesn't after a certain time it will actually shut the coil pack down & store a fault code for this.
Have you checked the timing belt hasn't slipped / broken / jumped?

Now this may sound silly but, did you use the right key? on my 206, one key will only do the fuel cap it does not have a chip, where as the other has the chip and starts the engine, I by mistake first time I drove mine used the wrong key after putting some petrol in it, and of course, it wouldn't start, luckily I discovered my mistake very quickly and no fault was recorded.

Even my 2nd non-remote key (original) starts the key!
