As detailed above.
Has anyone tried one of the diagnostic readers on eBay with any success ? I do not even know if my car is OBD2 compliant. If not, how do I go about tracing the fault without dealership being involved ?
Any help or advice gratefully received.
Thanks. purrjoe

As it's a diesel and pre-2004 you'll need PP2000 or a Peugeot/Citroen specific reader (Selay used to make one) .. off the shelf OBD2 will probably give you an incorrect response. ODB2 is a US standard - Peugeot never used it - and prior to 2004 they could butcher the software to only work with their systems (ie PP2000).
A local garage may be able to help as they often have a diagnostic that works on a variety of cars and OBD versions ..
