Hello guys,
Not sure if this is a issue or I'm over thinking things.
While coming home from the shops i noticed that when using the park and reverse on my automatic gear box the gear selection indicator on the dash was flashing rather then a solid red. Never seen it do this before... should i be concerned?
Any guidance would be great!

Could it be low gearbox fluid? Not an expert on these but that would be plausible. Google search mentions snow/sport lights flashing on dash .. but I don't know if this box has those settings.

Hi Gazza,
I've had a quick google before posting and can only find reference to the snow/sport settings flashing.
I do have these setting but can't find any reference anywhere to what I experienced.
I did have a funny over heating moment about 30 minutes before (coolant fans stopped working which is a whole nother issue )
Thinking maybe the gearbox was getting overheated and throwing a wobbly as hasn't happened since

I found the same but I don't believe everything I read on t'interweb ...
Think I'd be inclined to replace the gearbox oil esp if you don't know the history of the car, etc. The "filled for life" is probably only what the manufacturer hoped would be the life ... 6-7 years maybe??
And as an auto uses the oil in the torque convertor for drive it's working hard ..
