Not sure whether I'm posting in the right place, but I'd appreciate some help.
My Mrs has a peugeot 2003 206 quicksilver, it's a 1.6 16v, unfortunately the gearbox has decided to sh*t itself 3 months after having a new clutch.
Unlike a clutch however, the 20cn24 gearbox that I believe is in the quicksilver, is proving immensely difficult to source. Plenty in Spain or Holland but im in Cornwall.

I'm just making sure I'm looking for the right gearbox and hoping someone on here might have one they'd sell or know someone who has one. I'd appreciate it greatly as this car has been in my family since 2003 and I don't really wanna see it die at the hands of my Mrs hahaha.

How much is a service / exchange gearbox from your local gearbox specialist? OR how much for the specialist to rebuild the one you currently have?

Waiting on a call back from my local gearbox specialist tomorrow for a price. Doesnt seem to be many gearbox specialists down this way, so I'm thinking they can just say a price really, I am hoping it's reasonable still.

So they got back to me...

It's 692 for a strip down, rebuild and labour before the cost of parts. .
So yeah, gonna keep looking for a gearbox ahaha!
