Can anyone tell me if the oil can light is for both the oil pressure and oil temperature sensors?
My 206 is a 1.1i 2004 petrol Hatchback.
I have a problem that only occured after a garage did an oil change. All the dash warning lights were working normally. Those that lit up amber when ignition is first turned on and then go off as they should do. However after the oil change the amber oil can light was not seen on the display when the ignition was turned on. And when the temperature guage goes past 90 a red oil can flashes along with the stop indicator and an audible bleep is heard. The oil pressure sensor has been changed at least twice. There is no problem with oil pressure, and no oil leaking.
As the oil temperature sensor is very close to where the oil filter is, I believe that the oil temperature sensor may have been damaged during the oil change. Because this problem only started after the oil change.
The car was working normally, and all warning lights working normally.
And as the oil temperature sensor is the only sensor in that area I believe the problem is linked to that sensor.
The oil level counter matches the dipstick at full, so there is no problem with the engine. And so there wouldn't be a problem with the oil level sensor.
Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

Have you checked the oil level on the stick? Your model wont have an oil temp sensor, only pressure sensor.
