Hi - I’ve just bought a 1.4 HDI and it’s a great wee car and I’ve fallen in love with the 206. Only problem is a significant pull to the left or right depending on whether I’m braking or accelerating. This makes it a bit twitchy in corners and spoils what is otherwise great handling. I think the car may have had a wishbone replaced for its last MOT, and yet my first thought was that this problem feels like a suspension bush problem. Anyone had a similar issue?

I need to confirm my issue with this actually went away after changing the wishbones. I've been jumping from car to car too often and can't remember if it did or not now! My 206 is a 1.6 16v CC, I'll try and get back to you on this tomorrow as i need to put petrol in ... excuse to blast it down the bypass.- I remember having this happening on the motorway and it drove me nuts.

Update - No pull at speeds upto 30mph. I changed both wishbones, track rod ends and drop links - full kit from fleabay. I expect you just need a new wishbone - the bolts can be a bit of a pig, but it's not a difficult job with an impact and the right spanner. Ball joint pinch bolt threads like to get damaged - I got mine from a local motor factor for around a fiver!

Usually, it's the wishbone / lower arm bush.
