But I'm not so here goes.

First mask the garage off. To stop our s**t getting covered in overspray and to keep draughts at bay.

They are pro race 1.2's in a 6 x 15 et25 (106 fitment) with 195/50 15 R888 tyres. the rear arches need rolling in to clear (lowered 1 notch)

I didn't think you'd be using the 'notch' method given the standard of the other works!

When I say lowered 1 notch, I actually meant, the rear ride height was measured, the rear beam stripped, bearings/stub axles checked and greased then reassembled but with a new ride height 30mm lower than previous. I didn't realise that was such a crime! What is the correct way of doing it then?

Cheers mate

To do the ride height correctly you want to:
1. jack the car up at the back.
2.Remove both rear wheels
3. Measure with a tape measure from the center of the rear hub to the middle of the arch and record the measurement.
4.Remove the torsion bar for that side of the car.
5. If you want to lower 30mm then move the rear arm up that amount i.e if it was 150mm you put it up to 120mm from the arch
6. Attempt to slide the torsion bar back into place rotating it one spline at a time as it will only for on the correct rotation.
7. Do the same for the other side of the car.

The rotate one spline damages the bars if you run it like that.
Hope this helps
