On Pole-Position we've got back into the Random Road Trip Sunday's. Basically wake up on a Sunday morning, phone a few of the lads, and the hoon off for a spirited drive along some twisty roads, currently in Wales Twisted Evil

As the sun was out, it was rude not to make full use of it. Cal and I decided to head for Wales again and ended up at the Elan and Claerwen Valley's / reservoirs in Wales. Took a few pics of the locations, and certainly stretched the legs of the LCR on the roads. Brakes were good and sharp, the main problem I found was the heat which sapped some power from us, intake temps whilst still were at 64degrees, and when moving they were in the low 40's. Turbo Spiking at 22psi was interesting too. The Power estimation was 224bhp for the day, previous rolling roaded at 228bhp. Pub talk really but at least the Liquid Gauge in the air vent is accurate. Something tells me a new FMIC should be in order! I also think I need to stiffen the rear up a bit as it began to feel a bit wallowy on some of the bends. All in good time though!!! We left at 1pm, and got back at 6pm. Used a fair bit of petrol as well but it was worth it. Just got to clean him again now!

Anyway... some photo's

Thats basically what we do. Weather = good, then a few phonecalls, ad hoc meet and fire off somewhere for the afternoon. General rules are that we can't stay on an A road for more than 15 minutes, no motorways and as many B roads as you can find. Doesn't always work but it keeps things interesting! Fuel on the other hand isn't so fun lol. Will easily burn through £50/£60 in the afternoon. But, it's all about the smiles per gallon, not miles!
