Soo i've seen a few peoples threads and projects and thought it was about time i added one of my own Smile i'll admit i havent done alot to it just yet but have some more ideas in my head Smile

Modifications list:
GTi Spoiler
2 Phase 1 Headlights
Bonnet
Grille (with badge)
Waiting for a honeycomb grille to arrive Smile
CD Player
Peugeot 306 Harrier Alloy Wheels
Possibility: Silver Pin Stripe Under Doors

UPDATE: 07/04/2011[/color]Honeycomb Grille's now on the car Smile but unfortunately not got any photos Sad
and now looking for a set of Crystal Healdights Razz

Goin to buy the silver pin stripe soon aswell Very Happy

so here goes Smile :

as some of you may already know my car started off as a damage repairable from car transplants in winsford and looked a bit of a sorry state, so as my 17th birthday was coming up i decided to start looking for a car.

After weeks of constantly looking on the site at 206's and corsas i decided the 206 was definetly the car for me Smile

July 2009 came and this appeared in the scrapyard:

Bit of state if you ask me (but a perfect first car Smile ) so £800 & a set of keys later i had my car, nothing speical to shout about but could be tidied up Smile

so waited a few days for my car to arrive and gave it some general TLC untill i had the time and managed to find the right parts to repair it, this is kinds where my polishing obsession came from lol so a hoover and a wash later it looked something like this:

began to look more like a car than a mobile skip :).

Stood back and looked at it at this stage and thought right lets start looking for a set of lights a grille, and a wing along with a new bonnet
after a fair bit of searchin nothing appeared so i looked for a further 3 months until both me and my dad sed right there's nothing online to chesterton scrap yard we go Smile

happened to pic up a set of phase 1 headlights for £50 (for the pair) and went back to car transplants repairs store this time to buy a green grille Smile we eventually gave up on the idea of looking for a wing so my dad knocked the one i'd got back into shape, and the GTI spolier appeared on ebay for £30 so we thought bargain lets have that Smile and a few hammer hits later we had this :

Complete with rope and 2 pieces of wood to help pull the wings back into shape Smile

sooo we finished that in winter 2009 and decided to leave it a few months until i'd booked my test to start looking for a fresh new bonnet Smile
march 2010 came and my test was booked back to searching for a china blue bonnet. this proved to be more trouble than it was worth so we eventually gave up on the idea of finidng one the right colour and said sod it, we'll have one any colour and just spray it Smile

a couple of searches later on ebay and we found a bonnet place in longton that would bake the bonnet and then spray it any colour you wanted cost £160 and a few days later my dad went to fetch it Smile

that same weekend we attached the bonnet and had something that looked alot like a 206 Wink :

the green grille then came back off and we sprayed it with a good old halfords aerosol Smile and this was the outcome

Pretty impressed Smile

sooo it sat in the drive for a further 3 months until my 18th birthday had been and gone and was booked in for a VIC (Vehicle identity check) and an MOT, 306 harrier alloy wheels (curtosy of my brother Smile after taking them off his 306 before scrapping) then went on both sides instead of the good old steeleys Smile

Nothing special but everything a usual 206 consists of Smile

Passed its MOT with flying colours on the 17th June 2010 and also passed it VIC Check, which made me even more determined to pass my test

soo 9th August 2010 came heres me sat in my intructors diesel powered 206 thinking todays the day 3rd time lucky hopefully ( for those of you who hadnt guessed it took me 3 attempts to pass failed my first 2 Sad ) so i took my test and whatta you know i passed Smile

got excited but had to wait a few days for my insurance aviva to come through and i was on the road Smile

insurance soon came through and my car (aka Stitch due to repairs Smile ) was ready to hit the road Smile sooo off i went to tittesworth reservoir to take some shots and this is the result i ended up with Smile

My 18th came round on 15th june 2010 and my parents treated me to a personalised number plate Smile took it all the documents to LAC in congleton and they created the number plate for me Smile time to say good bye to VE02CDZ Sad

Just waiting for a Black homeycomb grille now and thinking of putting a very subtle silver pin stripe under the door bumpers Very Happy

Possibilty that more changes will be made in the not too distant future Smile

Edit 12/4/12[b]

Not updated this for a while so thought i'd add a few recent pics Smile

Fair play to you for having the time and patience and determination. Personally, I wouldn't have given that car a second look at the scrappy but you did and what a result!
Get off the bandwagon, and put down the handbook.
