hi there, as i will be changing my gearbox mount tomorrow i thought i would by the left mount at the same time and do that, but im abit nervious about doing it as it looks like the ecu needs to be removed, if anyone has done this before could you give me any tips etc on remving the mount,

gearbox mount requires the battery tray to be removed iirc but thats about it.

ECU is the other side, forward of the upper engine mount.

Thanks so basically all I do is undo that nut holding the ecu on lift the ecu out the way, do i not need to unplug any of the connectors

That ECU looks like it's been off before. Should be easy to remove it then.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

ah thanks edward, so i dont have a stupid anti tamper nut then, should it lift up and out the way after that 1 nut is removed, enough for me to get a chain around mount, or will unplugging the connectors and removing the ecu out the car be better,

Should give you plenty of room after you undo that nut without needing to unplug the ecu Smile Done a few!

sorry if i sound dumb, but is that 1 nut the only thing holding the ecu inplace Razz

aha Wink no chance that anoying nut wont be under that black thing which looks like a cover not sure, i feel so stupid but never had an ecu off a 206 so dont know what 1 looks like

The ECU and bracket get removed, the ECU might be held onto the bracket with a security nut/bolt but as you remove ECU and bracket together it's not a problem.
