Check the wire going to the sensor, for 4 months I had the Eml on and had the code read came up as co2 sensor, changed it and 5 miles down the road it came back on, the wires above the gearbox had snapped so wansnt getting power,

The ones from the connector to the sensor are fine I will have to check the rest but they atre tied into the main loom

do what i did i captured a cheater and straped it in my engine bay it goes like the clappers and fuel cost is pretty low

Have you changed the pre cat sensor? Would that also cause this problem, anyone?

No it's not the pre cat as the fault code is for the bank 1 sensor 2.
Still going through the short to battery to check for damage hmmmmm
