0-60 in less than 7.5 secs is reasonably easy. Fastest in my 180 was 7.1 secs (runway, GPS timed at an organised race event)

Is that quarter mile speed an average or the speed at the quarter mile? Seems slow although the time seems reasonable.

Fastest I've got with a 180 with a brand new Janspeed and a K&N air panel is about 8.5 seconds and that's on an empty tank and a flat road with ESP off red lining the first two gears (the car reaches 60 at about 6k+ rpm in gear 2)
I'm obviously a crap driver.
I know the driver makes a big difference, but 1.5 seconds in a 0-60 is an absolutely MASSIVE amount of time as I sure you are all well too aware, thus I'm dubious of any driver who reckons they can knock a whole 1.5 seconds off me red-lining a 0-60 (to which I think I did a fairly good job)
It's like saying you can knock 1.5 seconds off the 0-60 on a Nissan GTR - same principle, just a faster car.
Maybe I have a dud.

My car did 7.1 secs in the hands of Seb (staff member). I guarantee the figure is accurate - other members tested my car and the times varied from 7.1 to 9.0 (ESP on + passenger). At the same event it also beat a Clio Trophy 4 times out of 5 on the test track, but couldn't beat a stripped Clio 172. My 180 had a Janspeed & 17" Vortex, 215 tyres at the front, with adjustable coilovers. It was running 167.4bhp at the time.

Andy I change just before the red line but presumed this is known as red lining I.e Gettin the most out of the car or as some might say revving the b******s off it.
Barking I don't for one minute disbelieve what you say, I understand the figures are accurate I have seen videos on YouTube. It just further points to the suggestion that I have a dud.
Or as the other geezer said I have a dud and I'm a crap driver.
I'd like to get the car on a Dyno to check out its power even if I had to pay but I've asked on here before and no one advised me of any places around Manchester where I could get this done.
But I'm sure that would highlight any horrible power problems that I might have.
