lol as above. got some coilovers from a car i was breaking plan on selling them but they will not adjust! wd40 not helping. one is rusty but the other one is ok neither of the move an the tool i have is s**t to say the least as its not a fixed one if you know what i mean? what else can i put on them to get them to budge?

get the threads really clean and soak them for a few days in wd40 and oil.
then put them in a vice or hold them securely against something if not and gently try and free off the collars by tapping in the slots with a hammer and drift/big punch until the start to move.

use a wire brush the clean up the threads the leave them in a pot full of oil or derv for a day or two then try again mate

its not really strong enough to take the rust off Sad get a nice stiff wire brush from halfords or a diy shop would be better

could put some spring compressers on, take the top mounts off so there is minimal stress on the collars then wire brush and dowse in wd every few hours..

you can buy coilover covers to stop this from happening Wink or atleast reduce it

there is no stress on them as you can see in the second from last pic Wink
