Well I got the 180.
Steering, brakes, suspension and transmission (gear change) all feel good and positive as posted about earlier.
The power's nothing to brag about though!
I thought GT meant Grand Tourismo but the seats are way from comfortable. I've just done a bit over 400 miles in it (only stopped for a short break) and ache like hell!

the power well it depends on what you are compaireing it to really ???
from a scoob like dans then no it will feel flat but against a 1.1 it will feel fast.
you do need to rev the nuts off them to get them shifting

Modded my last GTi a LOT, granted I had fun doing it, but wish I had bought a 180 first off. Got a 180 now, and it is so much better. But then, you give a car over to the boys at Lotus and you are going to get some improvements.
The original engine Lotus came up with was over 200bhp, but needed an oil cooler and Peugeot weren't prepared to add this as the purchase price was capped...

i went up from a gti to a 180 and noticed the extra power, mainly the midrange that was improved, imagine that to be the vvt!

I heard that rumour about Lotus influence from a guy who used to work for Peugeot before I even heard it off anyone from on here and as the guy in question was a good friend and he had inside info I kind of believe it. Then again it could be insider bulls**t info...
Never ever hit the limiter in my 180, if on a run I will go close to the redline though. On overrun it pops.
Does bouncing off the limiter make any difference *not that I'm about to do it* pops enough on it's own.

I am not saying it's a "Lotus engine" here!!! They just took it and made some tweaks to the car. It's not b/s at all. Lotus are, after all, just a bunch of guys in Norfolk... not quite Aston Martin...
