I ask this as I'm looking to get some coilovers for my gti and on ebay there are only 9 different auctions where as of you just type 206 coilovers you get loads of choice and some good deals. Is the because there for a gti and any coilovers for a 206 would fit anyway model.

in simple term yes they will, although not sure if it applies with coilovers, every model has a different weight engine so you get different spring rates, i know it does with lowering springs

They will fit, but might be a bit stiffer if the coilovers manufacturer fits higher LB springs for the extra weight

But main point, they will fit

As above they will fit, but most brands would use different springs depending on what engine you have.

I doubt cheap ones do though
